Gluten Free Service
The Gluten Free Food Service allows patients to self-manage their gluten free prescriptions with the assistance of their community pharmacy. Patients eligible for the service will be identified by their GP and referred to their pharmacy for care.
Wemyss Bay Pharmacy - We service the communities of Wemyss Bay, Skelmorlie and Inverkip.

The Gluten-Free Food Service is an optional programme designed for people who need to follow a gluten-free diet as part of their medical care. The service is available through community pharmacies across Scotland.
All approved gluten-free foods are supplied free of charge on prescription.
Who can use this service
You may be eligible to use this service if you:
have a confirmed diagnosis of coeliac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis
live in Scotland
are registered with a GP practice
Benefits of the service
Using the Gluten-Free Food Service allows you to:
have greater control over managing your gluten-free diet
enjoy a wider range of gluten-free food options
change your order each month so you can try different foods
ensure you receive the correct gluten-free food unit allowance
access an annual health check
As orders are placed through your community pharmacy, you do not need to visit your GP every time you require a gluten-free food prescription.
